kintsugi, “golden joinery” is the traditional Japanese technique of repairing treasured objects with lacquer and a metal powder that is usually made from gold or silver. The centuries-old practice is often used to beautify the cracks, which serve as a visual record of the object’s history. With that philosophy we see homes and people's situations as an opportunity to mend properties and financial problems with the same care and value.
